Am I a huge Japanese food lover? Well, I might say that I am really a noodle lover. Which is why I am on a journey on finding the best ramen in town! Here is one of the latest ramen place that I have visited, Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen.
Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen was established in 1970 which specializes in Chikuho noodles, Tonkotsu soup, Gyoza and Chasu roast pork.
Here are what we ordered:
CHICKEN KARAAGE: PHP 180.00
Not your typical fried chicken. I love how tender and juicy on the inside but crispy on the outside. No need to dip in mayonnaise tastes perfect as is. The best way to start a meal.
ORIGINAL GYOZA: PHP 180.00
A must-order every time I eat at a Japanese restaurant. And Ikkoryu Fukuoka's Gyoza does not disappoint. It tastes just like the ones in Japan.
SPICY TOBANJAN TONKOTSU: PHP 380.00
Now the highlight, the spicy ramen!!! I love their noodles because it is chewy and the soup has that authentic Japanese taste. Although I can't really taste the spiciness, I think this is perfect for those who just want a hint of spiciness in their ramen. You can also add chili powder or chili oil to adjust the level of spiciness. Another thing though, this ramen does not include the soft boiled egg so I ordered an additional egg.
Overall, this is definitely something new to try, a different yet familiar taste.
