I have always heard that Singapore has a lot of delicious street food which made me decide to try Bugis Singaporean Street Food in Quezon City.
Honestly, I haven't been to Singapore yet and this is my first time to try Singaporean street food in the Philippines. One of the dishes that I am looking forward to is the Singaporean Laksa.
Here is my take on Bugis Singaporean Street Food:
NUMNUMS: PHP 38.00 PER STICK
You can't have a street food restaurant without the assorted "balls". These are Shabu-shabu balls that have been fried. We ordered the per stick but they also offer a set of 12 for Php420.00SALTED EGG SPARERIBS: PHP 265.00
It was not what I expected. I guess I was looking for a more dry type of spareribs with salted egg just like you would see when you buy salted egg wings but this one is sauce type dish.SINGAPORE LAKSA: PHP 250.00
One of my recommended dishes. It was so good that I was close to eating the whole serving. Mind you, it is not a small serving. The Laksa should be good for at least 2 persons. If you feel like that the Numnums are a bit expensive, then just order this Laksa because it also has the Numnums in it. I love how the spiciness of the Laksa is not overpowering. This is recommended for those who are not so fond of spicy food.HAINANESE CHICKEN (WHOLE): PHP 405.00
You cannot leave a Singaporean restaurant without ordering their Hainanese Chicken. I usually call this the dieter's food because it is steamed and the taste is usually bland. Surprisingly, Bugis Hainanese Chicken tastes good even without the sauce.SATAY RICE: PHP 125.00
VEGGIE SPRING ROLL: PHP 180.00
If you have noticed, we didn't order any vegetable dish. We opted for the Veggie Spring Roll. It contains assorted vegetables which will count as veggies right? I love the home cook taste of these spring rolls.Have you tried Bugis before? I would love to hear what you think of their food.
