If you enjoyed the beach in Bohol, I'm pretty sure you will also enjoy the tourist attractions the place has to offer.

Disclaimer:  I am not endorsing Bohol Rent A Car.  I am just merely relating my experiences to you.

Our initial plan was really to just relax and enjoy the beach but since we were already at Bohol, we decided to visit their famous attractions.

We searched the internet and found Bohol Rent A Car who offers different packages and renting a car (with driver).  There are different kinds of packages like Bohol Country Side Tour, Bohol Tour, Island Hopping Tour, Panglao Tour, etc.

Since we only want to visit certain places, we hired a van with a driver and rent it for 8 hours.  We let the driver know that we want to go to the Blood Compact Shrine, Baclayon Church, Tarsier, and Chocolate Hills.

Tip: When starting out early, make sure to bring sunglasses or a cap and put some sunscreen as it can get very hot.

Bohol Rent A Car:
Toyota Hi-Ace Van: Rate: P 2,500 / 8 hours Bohol Countryside Tour with fuel and driver

Itinerary:
8:00AM - Hotel Pick-Up
              - Blood Compact Shrine
              - Baclayon Church
              - Tarsier
              - Chocolate Hills
              - Island Tour Souvenir Shop
              - Lunch
3:00PM - Hotel Drop Off

FIRST STOP: Blood Compact Shrine / "Sandugo"

This is the site where Miguel Lope de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna performed the blood compact as a sign of their friendship.

This is just a very small place so you could finish here for about 15-20 minutes depending on the number of people visiting the shrine.  Outside the shrine, various souvenir items are being sold.  You could buy magnets or key chains at Php 50 for 4 pieces.

SECOND STOP: Baclayon Church

The Baclayon Church is one of the churches that sustained heavy damage during the 7.2 earthquakes that struck Bohol.  We only went for about 5 minutes before we realize that we couldn't really explore the church since it is still being renovated.

THIRD STOP: Tarsier

Tarsiers are the smallest monkey in the world.  When visiting them, make sure to be quiet and to turn off flashes of your camera as they get stressed and have suicidal tendencies.  The entrance fee is around Php50.

FOURTH STOP: Man-Made Mahogany Forest

This forest is actually located in the middle of the highway.  Be sure to watch out for vehicles that are passing by.  Although you don't have to worry as there are a lot of people who stop in the middle of the highway to take pictures.

FIFTH STOP: Chocolate Hills / Mga Tsokolateng Burol

Chocolate Hills is the most famous landmark of Bohol.  It is usually green but turns brown during the dry season.  It is on a greenish-brown color when we went there.

SIXTH STOP: Island Tour Souvenir Shop

We asked the driver to bring us to a souvenir shop and he bought us to Island Tour Souvenir Shop.

SEVENTH STOP: Lunch at JJ's Seafood Restaurant

What I like about this tour is that you just let the driver know what type of cuisine you want and he will bring you to a nice restaurant.  We wanted to eat seafood so he brought us to JJ's Seafood Village.  We ordered Fish Sinigang, Pork Adobo, Baked Scallops, and Fried Chicken.  All the food tastes great.  We were so full and it is not that expensive.

We went back to the hotel at around 3:00PM.  Hiring a van especially if you are at least a group of 4 will be more convenient because they can show you around and you don't have to worry about getting lost.  Time-saving too.
