Japan Visa For Philippine Passport Holder

I have never dreamed of going to Japan since I always hear that they are very strict in approving visas.  Until there was one year when most of my friends' Facebook feed is full of pictures about their trip to Japan.  They said that the Japanese Embassy is promoting their tourism that is why it is now much easier to get approved visas.

For Japanese Visa, all have to go through accredited travel agencies.  There are many travel agencies to choose from (UHI, Discovery Tour, Rajah Travel, Reli Tours, Attic Tours, Friendship Tours, and Pan Pacific Travel).  For more details, you may visit the official website of the Japanese Embassy.

Disclaimer: As usual, I don't guarantee if you will be approved.  I am merely sharing my experience with you.

For our first time Japanese Visa, we chose to go to Pan Pacific Travel.  We chose this agency because this is a well-known agency and my cousins have also used their services for a Japanese Visa as well.  It costs around Php1,000 per person (rates are subject to change).

Requirements for Japan Visa:
1. Philippine Passport
    - Broken passport is not accepted. Passports must be signed and must have at least two (2) blank visa pages.

2. Visa Application Form
    - Available at the Embassy website, at the entrance of the Embassy or at any of the accredited travel agencies.

    - Application form should be filled out all items correctly, If an item is not applicable, please fill in [N/A]. Embassy may not accept application with blank items, no signature or no date in the form; may deny the application that is filled out incorrectly or wrong information.
    - You may get print the application here or you may get it directly at the agency for the updated form.

How many calendar days did it take for Pan Pacific to process your visa? I have been waiting for more than 2 weeks already and still no update from their Cebu branch.

    1. Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. Hopefully you already got your visa. For me, it took me about 2 weeks for me to get my passport from Pan Pacific and I am from Metro Manila. I would think that since you are in Cebu, it might take longer than 2 weeks.
